Let’s be honest, 2024 was kind of wild. While the world was doing what the world does (politics, floods, Maandamano), Apple quietly had one of its biggest years ever.

Now that we’re in 2025 and our notifications are already spiraling out of control, we figured it’s a good time to hit pause and look back at the chaos and brilliance that came out of Cupertino(Apple HQ) last year.
Spoiler alert: Apple did not come to play
February – Vision Pro: Apple Jumped Headfirst Into Sci-Fi

Apple kicked off 2024 by straight-up launching us into the future with the Vision Pro. Not a VR headset. Not an AR headset. They called it spatial computing and no, we didn’t fully get what that meant either until we saw the demos.

Imagine this:
- Floating apps in your living room
- Watching movies on a 100-foot screen that doesn’t exist
- Calling people while your face looks like an AI-generated version of you (creepy but cool)
It’s expensive. It’s niche. But it’s also one of the boldest things Apple has done since the first iPhone.
March – M3 MacBook Air (13” & 15”): Slim, Smart, and Stupid Fast

Then came the M3 MacBook Air drop and let’s just say it made a lot of older laptops start feeling like that one uncle who refuses to update his WhatsApp.
Apple gave us:
- Blazing fast performance
- Battery life that outlasts your full Netflix binge
- Two perfect sizes: 13-inch (for mobility) and 15-inch (for people who like screen real estate without hauling a TV)
Lightweight, powerful, no fan noise honestly, what’s not to love?
May – iPad Level-Up Time

iPad Pro (M4)

Finally OLED displays on iPad. The contrast? Chef’s kiss.
Plus it got even thinner (we’re scared it might blow away in a strong Karen breeze), and the M4 chip made it run like a beast
iPad Air (M2)

Redesigned 11-inch + a new 13-inch model — basically, it stepped up and said “I’m not just your side hustle tablet anymore.”
In short: You’ve got power, portability, and an actual reason to ditch your dusty old Tab from 2019.
September – The Big One: iPhone 16, Apple Watch 10, & New AirPods
Every September, Apple drops new iPhones like it’s a global holiday. This month was no different.
A buffet of shiny things. Let’s run through the highlights:
iPhone 16 Series

Let’s be real, for the last couple of releases iPhones have no longer been about big overhauls. They were about smart, subtle upgrades that changed how you use them daily. This year, we got
- The A18 chip – faster than anything in your tech drawer
- Better thermal design- your phone stays cool even when you’re rage-quitting games
- Camera upgrades so clean, your Insta Stories now look like Netflix previews
And yes, that Cinematic Mode is still flexing.
But here’s the kicker: these iPhones didn’t come alone
Apple Watch Series 10 – The Big Ten Glow-Up

Apple didn’t just age the Watch, it leveled it up. The Series 10 rolled in with:
- Larger displays (you can now see your stress levels in full HD)
- Improved durability – made to survive gym drops, matatu elbows, and your toddler’s tantrums
- And as always, judging your sleep with quiet superiority
This wasn’t just an update. It was a wearable reminder that even your wrist deserves innovation.
AirPods 4 – Smaller, Smarter, Sleeker

And then came the AirPods 4 finally, a redesign that makes them feel like new again
- A shorter stem
- Better in-ear detection
- Improved audio quality with Adaptive EQ
- Subtle changes, sure, but collectively, they make your music, meetings, and mindless scrolling that much better
Apple didn’t scream about these — they just released them and let the sound do the talking
October – MacBooks, Mac Minis, & the little giant, iPad Mini
If September was the hype show, October was the backstage pass and Apple did not disappoint.
MacBook Pro (M4): The Creator’s New Best Friend
Forget just being fast the M4 MacBook Pro felt like it was built to teleport files. This thing is serious. Power users, video editors, developers, this was your moment.
- M4 chip flexing on every task
- Stunning display
- Battery life that could rival your weekend mood swings
- And a vibe that says “Yes, I work from anywhere — and do it better than you.”
Mac Mini: Tiny Box, Big Brain

If you’ve never looked at a Mac Mini, it’s time. Compact, affordable, and stupidly powerful this thing continues to surprise.
Perfect for creators on a budget, students who need space, or offices tired of towers from the dinosaur era.
iPad Mini: The Comeback Kid

Apple finally gave the iPad Mini some attention and it showed.
- Faster chip
- Better display
- Same pocket-friendly size
- Ideal for on-the-go sketching, note-taking, gaming, or watching TikToks under the table in meetings (no judgment)
This wasn’t an iPad for kids. It was an iPad for people who move.
Software – iOS 18, iPadOS 18, macOS Sequoia & the Whole Squad

Announced in June, dropped in September. Here’s the loadout:
- More security
- Cleaner interfaces
- Smarter integration across devices
- Features you’ll accidentally find mid-conversation and pretend you always knew existed
Everything they dropped wasn’t just “nice to have.” It felt like groundwork for something way bigger — and we’re here for it.
So… Did All This Actually Matter?
2024 wasn’t just shiny product drops and buzzwords – it actually changed how we use tech.
Whether it was stepping into a whole new reality with Vision Pro, changing our workflow with Apple Intelligence, capturing ridiculous levels of detail with the iPhone 16 Pro, or just appreciating how much smoother life got thanks to iOS 18, Apple didn’t just make noise, they made things that worked.
It wasn’t hype for hype’s sake. It was innovation with purpose the kind that sneaks into your routine until one day, you’re wondering how you ever lived without it.
2025, Let’s See What You’ve Got
If 2024 was the setup, 2025 is looking like the real test. AI’s knocking louder, spatial computing’s finding its footing, and iPhone 17 rumors are heating up fast.
Whatever drops next, we’ll be here watching the leaks, keeping you in the loop.
Thanks for riding with us.
Let’s keep moving forward, curious & connected.
